BOOK REVIEW: Adolf Hitler A Life From Beginning to End (Chapter 1&2)

Chapter 1: Hitler's Early Years 

Firts chapter tell about birth of Adolf Hitler, his family, how his life when he was child, aslo education in his childhood...


Adolf Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 at 6:30 in the evening at Gasthof zum Pommer, an inn in Salzburger Vorstadt 15, Braunau am Inn, Austria-Hungary. His father, Alois Hitler, a Kastel employee, married twice before marrying Hitler's mother, Klara Pölzl. Before giving birth to him, his mother had given birth to two sons and a daughter. Unfortunately, the three children died at a young age. Therefore Klara loved Hitler very much. His father, who was used to discipline at work, tried to practice it at home. His half-brother, Alois Jr., was often tortured by his father and at the age of 14 he had run away from home. As a result, Hitler fell prey to the tyranny of his father. While in elementary school, he has shown his talent in several fields such as painting and singing. Even when he studied at a Catholic school, he was praised for his beautiful voice.

Adolf and his father was fought bitterly over young Hitler's future. Alois wanted his son to become a career in the Habsburg civil service, but Hitler scoffed at the thought of a life spent enforcing what he considered petty rules and instead wanted a career in the visual arts. But finally, young Hitler followed his father's wishes.

After his father died in 1903 because of lung hemmorhage, Hitler became like losing direction, he did whatever he wanted. He became a naughty child at school and opposed his teacher teacher. And his grades were never again good. Hitler's mother, Klara died in 1907 from breast cancer. After his mother's death, Hitler left for Vienna, where he hopes his dream of becoming a painter.

Chapter 2: Hitler's Years in Vienna

Adolf Hitler left for Vienna in February 1908, when he was 18 years old. Hitler dreamed of becoming a painter and moved there with his friend, August Kubizek. Hitler wanted to study at the Academy of Fine Arts at Schillerplatz. Kubizek was accepted into the music school at that academy, but Hitler was rejected both times. 

After leaving the room he shared with Kubizek, Hitler lived in a series of low-income lodging and homeless shelters. He earned money by selling watercolors of Vienna where many buyers of his works were Jewish.

Hitler continued living in Vienna until 1913. He managed to make a living selling paintings. In 1913 he returned to Munich to avoid serving in the military. But he was found by authorities and returned for service in the Austrian armed forces and he failed a phisical exam. After this, Hitler returned to Munich where he would later volunteer to serve as an Austrian in the Bavarian army during World War 1.
